Anarkismo - Wed, 05/10/2017 - 06:23

Anarkismo - Tue, 05/09/2017 - 17:15

Anarkismo - Tue, 05/09/2017 - 05:39

[Book Review] Revolution in Rojava: Democratic Autonomy and Women’s Liberation in Syrian Kurdistan

Anarkismo - Sun, 05/07/2017 - 18:12
Although this is mostly a descriptive book, without much emphasis in theoretical debates, there is in it a wealth of thought-provoking ideas that have universal value. That this experience is relevant beyond the borders of Syria is proved by the extraordinary reception to this book. Pluto Press is already thinking of the second edition and recently, Ercan Ayboga, one of the co-authors, had a tour in Ireland, North and South, to launch the book; this brought him from Cork to Belfast, with stops in Dublin, Cavan and Dungannon. In all places, the people engaged and felt that Rojava had something very important to tell them.

Palestine-Israel - One apartheid state nearing 50th birthday and the tension rise*

Anarkismo (en) - Sat, 05/06/2017 - 04:00
Bil\\\\\\\'in, Ni\\\\\\\'ilin, Nabi Saleh, Qaddum, Sheikh Jarah, South of Hebron Hills, Jordan Valey
The focus on the Israel-Palestine one apartheid state is more and more in the world media. The fear of Europe - mainly from the extreme Muslim terror, combined with the B.D.S. movement, increase the pressure on Israel. Even US call for at least partial retreat from 1967 conquest of the remaining Palestinian region. The sham excuse Israel will retreat only with final peace agreement in which the Palestinians renounce the right of return of the 1948 refugees is exposed when even the Hamas agree on 1967 borders. Frustrated from the Palestinian Authority yielding to the Israeli needs the Fatah opposition initiated the prisoners hunger strike of 1700 inmates which may ignite a mass revolt of the Palestinians of the west bank. Meanwhile, the harassment of the non-armed joint struggle of grass root village activists and the Israeli anarchists against the wall, that was a bit dormant seems to be ignited again marked with the use live ammunition in Nabi Saleh (taking advantage of the absent of Israelis).

Good Protester, Bad Protester - Don't Fall for Divide & Conquer (Text & Audio)

Workers Solidarity Movement (Ireland) - Sat, 05/06/2017 - 04:00

I'm not a bad protester, I promise. I'm a good protester. I'll be a good protester!

The farce that is the Jobstown [1] trial has mostly been a back and forth about what kind of protest is acceptable and right. Did the people of Jobstown keep Joan Burton and her assistant waiting for too long? Were they too foul mouthed? Too angry? Did they bang on the car too much? What about kids throwing water balloons? The infamous Jobstown brick? Maybe we should put them in prison then. At the heart of this argument is a very important notion: splitting people into 'Good Protesters' and 'Bad Protesters'. This article lays out exactly how that works, and how we should counter this divide and conquer tactic.
